
With confidence in the promises of Our Lord Jesus Christ we announce with deep sorrow that the passing of The Most Reverend Edward T. Ford, T.O.R., on August 19th, 2024. Bishop Ford served as the Primate of the Church, where his extraordinary leadership, profound spirituality, and unwavering dedication to the Faith left an indelible mark.
A native of New England, he began his spiritual journey at an early age, which led to his ordination and later consecration as a bishop in the Old Roman Catholic tradition. His life was a testament to the Franciscan ideals of humility, simplicity, and service.
Throughout his ministry, Bishop Ford was known for his compassionate pastoral care, his deep understanding of theology, and his commitment to the spiritual and physical welfare of his flock. He was instrumental in fostering the growth of the Old Roman Catholic Church in North America, guiding it through times of change with wisdom and grace.
